After first date follow-up?

Okay so I just went on a date with this girl I really like and whom I've hung out with a couple times and have been texting non stop for about two weeks and we went to dinner and then walked around this lake for about an hour and talked. When I took her home she gave me a hug, not a kiss, and said I'll text you later. She's going out of town for a week, and being stupid I forgot to say we should go out again when she gets back. I was just wondering if I should text/call her back right now and ask if she would like to when she gets back, or another day (I can't call her back tomorrow because she works all day and then she'll be traveling the next day). Need help with this please!
