Does he like me even though he has a girlfriend?

So, there's this guy that's a grade ahead of me. Well, I'm a soon to be senior and he'll be starting college. Anyways, he's had this girlfriend for a while but lately since summer started he's been texting me everyday. He's even tried to make plans to go to the lake with me and all kinds of stuff. He calls me pretty, and he even brought me chocolate for helping him with something at school before the year ended. I don't know, he could just be a player because he did the same thing with his girlfriend he had at the time last year. He asked for my number and the next day they broke up. Which is pretty weird.. I later got a boyfriend, but he continued to text me until he met the new girl. But I feel that it's starting again.. except this time it's a lot more.
